A truly underrated place. For Marine Corps veterans, the sight of Major General Smedley Butler's modest gravestone is reason enough to visit, but there are many other plots to see as well, including the gravesites of many prominent Chester County families. Veterans from all wars are represented, but the monuments erected by veterans of the Grand Army of the Republic to their pre-deceased comrades truly reflect the camaraderie these men felt towards each other in war and peace. The memorial to the B-25 crewmen who perished in a crash over cemetery grounds during WWII is a reminder that whether young men and women perish in battle or training, their loss is still significant to their comrades and loved ones.
